Profile custom field value update causing app refresh

We’re experiencing an issue with changes to custom profile field values forcing a page refresh for users. Each time a custom field is updated on any user profile, the logged-in user who is using the app will have the iframe refresh, disrupting their flow. Anyone seen this? Is this expected or configurable?

We update various profile fields with custom webhooks based on business logic in the embedded app. The iframe forcing a refresh is messing with the user experience significantly. The custom app which is refreshing is a NextJS app configured via iFrame embed using the app framework.

Thanks! I used to see that message at the bottom of the screen which prompts the user to refresh for updates, but that no longer appears either.

Is there any further information on this? This is causing a major disruption to a production system. I can confirm that this affects all of my clients. Again, if we update a CRM profile field value for a given user, if that same user is using the Copilot dashboard, our custom app is refreshed (iframe reloaded) by something running on the copilot side. This is definitely not how things used to work. It’s critical for us to know if this is a known issue, and what the resolution time will be. Thanks!

Hey @Blueprint_Assistant Sorry for the delay here. I’m one of the engineers on the team, I’ll be taking a look at this first thing tomorrow morning, hopefully we can get a fix out to you shortly after that. Can you give me a bit more info on what’s going on?

Can you share the URL you’re on when you experience the iframe refreshing? There’s a couple pages that might be on in the app, I’d like to reproduce what you’re seeing. I’m guessing it’s a realtime update unintentionally causing a re-render somewhere.

Very sorry for the disruptions here, I know it’s frustrating to have your app constantly re-rendering, it’s painfully slow. We’ll fix it up and write some tests to prevent our improvements from regressing in the future.

For future reference, this issue was resolved with a bugfix yesterday afternoon. If anyone sees their app refreshing when they don’t think it should be, please open a new post and we’ll take a look.
