Why isn't assembly letting me save custom fields in crm

I have added some tags for company names in my CRM - just to help filter messaging and payments. All tags set up fine, but when the relevant tag is selected for each company, the setting doesn't save. Any ideas?

Is there a way to assign a client to more than 1 company? Currently, in the client profile you can only assign 1 company from what I can see. Some of our clients work for different companies and need access to multiple company portals.
