Connect the Figma Embed

### Overview

Figma is a collaborative design tool for building meaningful products that users can seamlessly design, prototype, develop, and collect feedback in a single place. Assembly makes it it easy to share Figma Designs with your clients directly within your portal. To embed a Figma **Design**, follow the instructions below.

### App setup

01. Go to _App Library_, and click _\+ Add an app_ in the top right corner.

02. Select _Figma_ in the _Client-facing_ section.

03. After clicking on the app, click on _Install_ in the top-right.

04. Give the app a name and icon.

05. We recommend setting this up as a **manual** app so that you can embed a different design for each client. If you want this app to be visible to all clients, set this as an **automatic** app.

06. Next, click _Add_. You will be taken to the app's page, where you can set the embed for each client, group, or company.

07. Click _Add_ to add your first embed or link. Select the client(s) or company to share the app with.

08. Select _Show as embed_ so that the client isn't directed outside of the portal.

09. Next, go to the Design you want to share in your Figma account.

10. To embed a Design, click _Share_ in the top right corner.

11. On the _Invite_ tab, set the permissions to _Anyone with the link can view_.

12. Click _Get embed_ at the bottom of the invite modal and copy the iframe code.

13. Go back to the app page in Assembly, paste the copied iframe code into the content box, and click _Save_.

**Note:** Figma only allows _view-only_ embeds - while you can select the option to allow visitors to edit, the edit functionality is prohibited when used in an iframe in Assembly.
