## Trello Embed

Connect the Trello Embed

### Overview

Assembly makes it possible to embed Trello boards directly within your client portal.

### App Setup

01. Go to _App Library_, and click _+ Add an app_ in the top right corner.  
02. Select _Trello_ in the _Client-facing_ section.  
03. After clicking on the app, click on _Install_ in the top-right.  
04. Give the app a name and icon, and configure whether all clients can see it or only a subset.  
05. We recommend setting this up as an **automatic** App so that your Trello board will be visible to all clients. If you only want this App to be visible to one or more specific clients, set this as a **manual** App.  
06. Leave the app set to as _Show as embed_ so that the client isn't directed outside of the portal.  
07. Go to your Trello board and ensure it is set to public.  
08. Click the ellipsis (...) **to the right of** the _Share_ button, not the _Share_ button itself.  
09. Select _Print, export, and share_ from the menu.  
10. Copy the link shown under _Link to this board_.  
11. Go back to the _App Library_ page and paste the copied link into the content box.  
12. **Important:** To allow your board to embed, add _.html_ to the end of your board link. For example,

`https://trello.com/b/GJKr8RIP.html`

13. Click _Add_ to be redirected to the app.

To preview the app as a client, click _Portal_ at the bottom of the sidebar and click _Open portal_. Once you're logged in as your test client you'll be able to view the connected app.
